The Amarillo Bulls allow three goals each in the second and third period as they fall to Rio Grande Valley 6-2. Tristan Rostagno and Brady Crabtree scored goals for the Bulls in the lost. The Bulls' record drops to 16-22-3 overall and 35 points on the season. The two teams will play each other again Saturday at 7:05 pm.
After having the lead after day one of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Amarillo native Ryan Palmer is tied for fourth on the leaderboard. Palmer shot a 1-over 72 in the second round. He is currently four strokes behind the leader. Play was suspended for the second straight day due to darkness.
The West Texas A&M Buffaloes will be heading to Portales Saturday as they will take on Eastern New Mexico. The Buffs go into the contest with a 12-8 overall record and 2-4 in conference record. The Buffs are coming off a 92-71 home win over Langston on Tuesday. Game time will be at 8:30 pm.

The Lady Buffs will go into the contest with a 15-2 overall record with a 6-1 conference record. They are currently riding a six-game winning streak after beating Texas Woman's by 15 last Sunday night. Game time will be at 6:30 pm.
The West Texas A&M baseball team's matchup against Southwestern Oklahoma State in Wilder Park has been moved to Sunday afternoon due to weather. The Buffs are coming off a 37-21 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Playoffs. The Buffs will not be back home until March 6th when they play Eastern New Mexico. The doubleheader starts with the first game at 2:00 pm and the second game starting at 4:00 pm.
In girls high school basketball action last night, Hereford upsets Canyon 39-34. Frenship slips past Tascosa 61-58. Palo Duro defeats Dumas 52-45. Randall survives a tough match against Caprock 52-48. Bushland blows out Borger 69-33. And Spearman takes down River Road 44-26.
In boys high school basketball action last night, Tascosa beats Frenship 61-48. Caprock wins a tight game against Randall 52-49. Canyon gets a win over Hereford 62-56. Palo Duro easily beats Dumas 91-45. And Spearman also gets an easy win over River Road 60-30.
