Palo Duro takes care of business over Dumas 49-14. Canyon survives against Hereford 37-34. Plainview beats Abilene Cooper in a shootout 68-63. Lubbock Estacado takes care of Levelland 65-53. Lubbock Monterey is at .500 after beating Lubbock Coronado 39-35. Lubbock Cooper gets win number 6 against Lubbock High 34-14. Pampa wins at home against Seminole 47-20. Iowa Park gets the best of Bushland 38-20. Vernon shutsout Dalhart 48-0. Idalou beats Tulia 27-13. Highland Park wins on the road against Sanford Fritch 27-14. In a string of blowouts in District 1-3A Division 1, Childress beats Dimmitt 37-7, Muleshoe tops Friona 55-7, and Littlefield beats River Road 19-7. Canadian remains unbeaten as they beat Wellington 35-12. Stratford blows out Panhandle at home 48-14. West Texas beats Boys Ranch 33-31. In a battle of unbeaten teams, Booker blows out Gruver 49-14. Sunray gets its first district win against Shamrock 55-26.

The Amarillo Bulls got a big win last night at home as they beat Lone Star 2-1. Bulls goalkeeper Anton Martinsson was the star of the night saving 28 of 29 shots in his first win as a goalkeeper in the North American Hockey League. It was their first home win of the season as the team improves to 3-5-2 on the season. The Bulls will play Lone Star again at home tonight at 7:00 pm.
A late penalty kick goal in overtime gave the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs soccer game a tough 1-0 lost on the road against Eastern New Mexico Friday night. The Lady Buffs falls to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Lady Buffs' next game will be on the road again next Friday at 8:00 pm against Midwestern State.
The West Texas A&M Buffaloes football is getting set for a Lone Star Conference showdown Saturday night at 7:00 pm on the road against the 23rd ranked Texas A&M - Commerce Lions. The Buffs go into the game with a 4-2 overall record with a 3-1 conference record and are currently riding a 4 game-winning streak. This game will determine who takes first place in the Lone Star Conference as the Lions are first and the Buffaloes are second in the standings.
The Lady Buffs' volleyball team will be at home Saturday at 2:00 as they will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Lady Buffs are currently 19-3 overall and 10-0 in conference play. The Lady Buffs will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first WT volleyball team back in 1964.
The Amarillo Sox have hired Stephanie Tucker as the new executive vice president and general manager as she will succeed Mark Lee who was recently fired as the general manager of the Sox. Tucker is also the owner of the Amarillo Venom football team that won back-to-back Lone Star Football League titles in 2012 & 2013. Tucker has stated that it won't be a problem to run both teams. The Sox finished last season with their worst season in franchise history with a 37-62 overall record.
